Dearest devWatchers!
This is Kat Zantow, artist extraordinaire, writing to you (and not nycterent, at all, hijacking the account and writing on her behalf--no, no ) to let you know that I'm back.
I can't believe the weekend is almost completely gone. I spent this Friday catching up with the very terrifying nycterent (during which time we painted each others nails, fangirl-ed over Person of Interest, and rediscovered my dA password). I started today with a tall cup of Mint Mocha (the first and last time I order it; it has a bitter aftertaste) and ended it surrounded by greeting cards and all sorts of enforced good-will in the place that I work.
So where have I been? Over the last few months, I, Kat Zantow, have done a lot of awesome adventuring, both irl, online, and in a mixture of both worlds.
In real life, the neighborhood cat I had been admiring from a distance since 2006 has adopted me. She and I are getting along splendidly despite (or perhaps because) of her odd tendency to wake me up at 7am, using a paw to punch me. I am quite serious.
Online, I have started a blog and joined a small, independent book review site as a feathery fiend called the "MoonblindCanary".
In a mixing of all these worlds, I have finished two novels (one of which can be found on Amazon) and I am currently half-way through its sequel sequel. In between working part time (with full-time hours), I am also whipping out art--both digital and traditional--and I will be posting some of my more awesomely dastardly sketches in the upcoming weeks. And of course, accepting art commissions.
Now over to you, dear reader, art appreciator, and watcher. Because I've been away for a while , I'll be clearing out my devWatch center and its 900+ devwatch messages. But I'd really like to see what sorts of mischief you have been up to--so tell me (or link me!).
This is Kat Zantow (and not nycterent ) signing off. Over and out!

Recent efforts
There has been a long and inexcusable absence from this fine website. Rest assured that it is not due to a wholehearted artistic slacking, just the art perspective. I've been off and away through the wilds of college and busy writing ebooks.
I am Pyrra, come from the long sleep of inactivity. For a more reasonable look at what I've been doing:
