Why I'm tired of elephants

Right now I am extremely sick of elephants. For my art class we had to create prints of a certain sort. We had to submit three designs, and the best one would be taped behind a piece of clear plastic, and we would cut into the plastic, tracing the graphite. In order to print, we had to push ink across the plate, and then furiously scrub and pull at the ink to try to get it off. This took roughly 20min. Sometime in that interval, we had to dampen a piece of paper just the right amount, and then run it through a press. (It took a long time to figure out that correct degree of wetness.) It would have been easier without having to worry about other people messing with the settings. But, as everyone was printing, the papers got crinkled, the machine got turned too lose, papers dried too much while waiting, and the simple assignment of getting three matching prints was barely possible. Finally, after a dozen or so attempts, I decided that three matched well enough. This process took months.

And that is why I'm tired of elephants.
